I just got my new 05 accord a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty ignorant in the field of automotives so i was wondering what i should / should not do to keep my car in tip top condition all the time. I can feel the brake pads wearing out already =/

follow your owners manual dude. It will tell you the regular service and maintanence intervals. Other than that, i wouldnt stress about it

your pads are wearing already? thats odd. I like Akebono Ceramic pads. Change the oil every 3,000 miles. You should probably go ahead and change the oil pretty soon anyway since its brand new. dont drive the hell out of it. check fluids, tire pressure once a month.

Just get in the habits of checking your tire pressure and fluids. Some do it once a month, I do it almost daily, just because my car is so fickle.
Change your oil every 3k, and your filter every 2 oil changes.

To keep the paint good, keep it waxed and away from tree sap and direct sunlight.

Like said above, just use the owners manual. And don't go over on tuneups...when it is time to change the belts and stuff...do it. Preventitive maintainence is always cheaper than repairs.
