completely deadterri_5 09-02-2005, 10:14 PM A couple of mornings ago I left my lights on (it was pouring) at work all day, when I came out the car was dead. Tried to jump it and later charged the battery but nothing happened. Not a clicking sound or anything. A friend told me I might have some kind of factory kill switch or something. Is it possible? I bought the car last year and nothing was said of an alarm or kill switch. 95 Jetta III 2.0 auto boschmann 09-05-2005, 01:12 PM That is not uncommon with that alarm/immobilizer system. You need to turn the key to unlock position in the door to disarm the system. krazyboarder56 09-05-2005, 06:29 PM try unplugging the negitive cord from the battery for a couple of minutes after the battery has charged then put it back on. the car alarm should go off turn the alarm off and try starting the car. terri_5 09-09-2005, 12:43 PM My car sat in the parking lot of my work for 7 days. A few people at work looked at it and said it must be my battery, alternator or starter, one guy mentioned a kill switch or alarm so I decided to do some research on this site. It seemed that this kind of car had alot of problems with the alarm (which I didn't know I had, because it must have been somewhat deactived and also the old owner didn't say I had one). I came across a thread from Boschmann with instructions on how to bypass the alarm. I asked a friend to do it for me, he did it in about 10 minutes and my car started right up! I just want to say thank you Boschmann for your knowledge!! I will be using this site from now on. Thank you again Boschmann!!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
