Recently changed thermostat and p/s hose and ever since, my Rodeo 1997 4 cyc. on accleration makes a airy tick sound for awhile until it warms up awhile. It only does it after the car has been sitting and only when stepping on the gas.

no ideas????

my tick sounds airy too. almost kinda like a sprinkler system. id just check in all the other tick forums

Sorry about the lack of posts on this thread, but most of us have the 3.2L V6 which is not the same engine, or the same maker of engine as the 4-cylinder which is made by Chevy.

The ticking sound that us 3.2L V6's experience probably has absolutely no relation to a ticking sound in a 4-cylinder. They are completely different beasts.
