Hi folks,

I've researched the archives and, thank you to all with more knowledge than I, have learned of the timing belt + many miles = knock syndrome. Tomorrow, I learn if this is indeed my problem. Question: When replacing the tension assembly, does one replace both the 'Pusher' and the 'Belt Tensioner' or just the 'Pusher'?

The failure of the hydraulic pusher is what causes the knock. You can replace both if you want to be safe just because you're in there already.

this is expensive to replace/fix, no?
