Thx for checking it out.

Asaenz tuning
I modified the rear-end, gave it mini-tubs. I body dropped the car and gave it big rims, perhaps to big. Oh and it has one of the those new vette engines w/ twin turbos, but you can't see it just know that it is there under the hood. :)

New stuff I tried
-I used NuPastels and applied them using shot gun cleaner pads.
-After working w/ the pads I applied baby powder to get a smooth
graduation. I then came in w/ the pastel stick and directly applied it to the car.
-I used frisk film and paper masks.

Things I screwed up on
- Far white stripe may need more of an arch
- Need more work on the front bumper
- I forgot the inner lip reflection in the dish (front and back)
- Rear quarter panel needs to be lighter

That's pro, the only little thing might be the orange lights on the bottom are a off a little, the right one should be more to the left. Not sure if it's that off or not. Gorgeous work.

That is some very cool work.
I love the texture on the reflection on the side.
Plus great looking wheels and tires.

you're getting really good at this Al! You do a great job of mixing mediums in your renderings. I like the way you did this one on a tilted horizon line. Is this done freehand?

Nice work

Alex

Thx guys for the input.

Alex I drew it free hand and varified proportions w/ a proportional divider. I then used ship curves and ellipse templates to clean the lines up (trace my sketch).

I must give credit to the photographer from Popular Hot Rodding for the pose. I actually subscribe to the magazine because of the photographer. I forgot his name I will have to check tonight. The guy had an entire article on photography and light a couple of months ago. It was very cool. I practice w/ my model cars.

Do you have a bigger picture?

Do you have a bigger picture?

Yes I do, however w/ a smaller picture I can use the highest quality (least compressed) image. I am not sure if you know but jpeg is called a lossy compression format (lossy = less detail). Any time one converts a lossless image (like bitmap or PNG) to jpeg, detail is lost.

I want the image the look its absolute best (w/ jpeg).
If I used a large image w/ highest quality jpeg the file size would be very large. I store my work on my server space, so I am trying to keep things reasonable (disk space).
