hello all...i've tried searching in this forum for this and haven't had any luck finding any answers. i'm helpin a buddy drop in a '95 JDM H22A motor into his '92 accord. his original dizzy is an external one....w/ 1 connector that has 2 pins....and the other connector w/ 8 pins. our problem is the dizzy that came w/ the h22a has a connector that doesn't match the original. the 2 pin connector matches....but the other one is a 6 pin connector w/ 5 wires hooked up too it (one empty slot). how would we go about hooking up the distributor? from the looks of it...all 5 wires from the jdm 6 pins connector matches the accords 8 pin connector wires. we got everything else hooked up already...and dropped in...it's just this distributor thats got us stumped.

maybe this will help clarify my problem. the original accord distributor has 3 sensors inside of the distributor (crank position, cylinder position, and tdc) the h22a distributor he got has only 2...looks to be the crank and tdc. would the h22a ecu require the 3rd sensor to fire up?

Well, if you install the new ecu for the new engine, the new distributor should work fine without the third sensor, as long as thats the way its described...
Unless either you don't have the new ecu/pcm, or you don't have the new distrib.
