Fuel door lock motor on 1995 850groundgripper 08-26-2005, 09:25 PM The fuel door on my '95 850 doesn't unlock at times and I have to use the override located in the trunk. Diagnosis was I need a new fuel door lock motor. Dealership estimate is $210.00 and is this reasonable. Also, I consider myself average mechanically inclined and would this be a job I could do myself? If so any directions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! TheMan5952 02-23-2006, 12:12 AM not sure about it, took mine off when it stopped working so I just manually open the door. by pushing on it by the hinge Elco 07-31-2006, 10:36 AM I had a similar problem and the shop simply reattached the wiring to the motor believing the intermittent nature to be a loose wire. It has worked since. Unfortunately, the price quote you rec'd was similar to what my mechanic was going to charge to replace the motor. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
