my car keeps showing code 33 i checked the code and i think it has to do with the maf but i replaced it about 5 months ago....i nocked of the wire that went to the sensor but then i made a new connection for it and connected it....My car also dies right when i start the car if the engine is cold and try to put it in gear. it just slowlly bogs down then dies.any suggestions on what it could be...thanks

where is morley???
good question, he's been missing...
no good.
I bet he'd tell you to replace the MAF power and burn-off relay's.

replace the MAF power and burn-off relay's.
That was my first intuition, HOWEVER, I'm a little lost on this whole wire issue he brought up, I'm assuming the wire broke, and if so how (where)? How was it reconnected? I think that's the key because if I remember correctly, his code 33 pertains to a constant low air flow reading, which a bad wire repair may be interpreted by the ECM as such?

the wire came disconected right at the object that connects to the sensor...so i put a now connector on there. And im not sure what the name of the kind of connecter i used but its sliped right onto the maf sensor. So maybe the wire itself is bad?

It's what I m wondering, bad connection of some sort. Has the light been on ever since the repair?

You might want to take a trip to the junk yard then, and cut off another connector. Just make sure you splice everything correctly, and seal it off good.
