Primera Sport 2001 CV jointspetercaseyharrison 08-23-2005, 06:29 AM Has anyone had the same problem I have recently experienced. My car as done about 42000 miles and about 3 weeks ago I had to have one of the two CV joints replaced. Then two weeks later the other one went and that had to be replaced as well. When I asked the garage whether I was particularly unlucky I got the impresssion they have had similar cases with my model of vehicle. If this is so, as I susupect, there must be a defect with this model/part. Can anyone shed any light on this..Thanks nissantech 08-23-2005, 01:37 PM there are normally 2 reasons to replace the cv joint. 1: noise due to water ingress and corrosion. 2: ABS comes on at slow speed. this is caused by the ABS rotor cracking and giving a faulse signal to the ABS sensor. most common cause rust and corrosion. Over all this is common on p11 primeras. you can get non genuine for around £30 a side. (look on ebay there is loads) regards vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
