Made it to the semi-finals again Saturday night. In the past 6 weeks I've been to the semi-finals 3 times. I'm not all complaining, lol, but I just can't seem to get past that semi-final round with this 355, lol.

In fact, this made the 6th week that 355 has been in the car (and also the 6th week anneversary since my 406 bit the dust :disappoin), lol. I've got a pattern: I do bad, then semis, then bad, then semis, bad, semis, lolol.

Oh well, lol. I had 2 TOUGH races Saturday in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. The margin of victory was .005 seconds and .009 seconds. Very good races to say the least.

I red lit in the semis, .493 (-.007) and went 4.841 on a 4.84 dial. That really hurts to run your dial only to throw it away with a red light! What makes it worse is the other guy had a .542 (.042) light (which is bad for our class) and broke way out of his time (3.814 on a 3.84 dial). So, if I could have came with any half way decent green light I would have finally made it back to the finals!! Oh well.

It was still a good race for me and little Casper. although I do have to buy a starter now (mine started draggin Saturday night and we took it off this evening and its burnt up).

Haha. Isom, KY. Its in Letcher County. Its a 330 ft. drag strip, and I garuntee you'll never be at another track like it! The bleachers are literally less then 10 ft. from the track, so the fans can get up close and personal.

Dude don't you have any tracks around you that provide 1/4 mile times???? If not that sucks, great times in your car though.

Yeah. There's 4 1/4-mile tracks within 2-3 hours of me. But even if I did race at any of those 4 tracks, my class (Bracket 1 or Super Pro or Top ET-its all the same thing, the electronics class) only runs an 1/8th so it wouldn't matter, lol.

And not only are they atleast twiced the distance away, the entry fee is $5-10 higher, the buybacks are $5-10 higher, there's twiced the cars, and the purse is at the most only $200 more (runner up is actually lower at most of those tracks then at where I race).

But, I'd still like to go and race at one, and will sometime or another. My car is a lot slower now then it was, but I can still make the break to run my class (usually its 0-7.99, but sometimes its 0-7.49, and tha'ts in the 1/8th mile of course). It'd run anywhere between 7.20-7.30 in the 1/8th now, which ain't bad but is near the top of the bracket, or on the slow side of the bracket and nowhere near what it ran with the 406 that I blowed up (high 1.4s-low 1.5s 60s, mid-low 4.40s in the 330, would have been 6.70-6.80 range in the 1/8th, and on the slow side of the middle of the bracket).
