Does that qualify as a "keyboard ricer"? :p Just kidding, man. :) I have TweakUI. My GeForce cards are slightly overclocked. Black cases with windows. Anime case badges. 'Bout it, really. Most of my enhancements are hardware/performance related. Neutrino 08-25-2005, 08:14 AM Does that qualify as a "keyboard ricer"? :p Just kidding, man. :) NO, I belive that title belongs to me since This is the keyboard I currently use: http://www.moddershq.net/siteMedia/reviews/saitek/keyboard/eclipse/eclipse18.JPG the saitek eclipse :icon16: travis712 08-29-2005, 03:56 PM Raidmax Cobra case with 420 psu, 2.8ghz with 80g 7200 rpm drive +10 gb media drive, 3 80mm blue led fans with 1 120 blue led fan. Case has window. None of my temps ever go past 100*F :) Don't have many software enhancements, but use everest home edition for temps, etc. tman 09-05-2005, 04:56 PM lets see, had a stock dell 4600. 2.66Ghz P4 Northwood, 512RAM, 128MB NVidia 5200 Added: 400W Antec PSU DVD Burner 200GB HD Video capture card dual monitors 4 speakers and 2 subs(Harman/kardon) VCR connected to vid capture card multimedia keyboard Software: ultramon(controls second monitor) konfabulator(dont use it much anymore) Firefox and Opera Thunderbird DVD decryption and copying software travis712 09-05-2005, 05:24 PM lets see, had a stock dell 4600. 2.66Ghz P4 Northwood, 512RAM, 128MB NVidia 5200 Added: 400W Antec PSU DVD Burner 200GB HD Video capture card dual monitors 4 speakers and 2 subs(Harman/kardon) VCR connected to vid capture card multimedia keyboard Software: ultramon(controls second monitor) konfabulator(dont use it much anymore) Firefox and Opera Thunderbird DVD decryption and copying software Nice, how do you like the dual monitor setup? Have been thinking about it for a while, just not sure if I will like it or not. tman 09-05-2005, 05:38 PM Nice, how do you like the dual monitor setup? Have been thinking about it for a while, just not sure if I will like it or not. I love it, theres a few times when the setup really shines: AIM buddy list always viewable iTunes always viewable so you know whats playing next have multiple IM windows open while still working Internet open on one monitor, and typing oin Word on another photoshop, you can keep your tools on one monitor and your psd work on another. Plus its impressive and gives you geek status. I havent figured out how to stretch a widescreen movie across it yet, still working on that one. btw, they're both at 1024x768, 3:2 aspect ratio, combined 3:1 Steel 09-05-2005, 05:39 PM Well, i got extra chunky peanut butter on the internet vent on my minotaur. It makes me pwn at CS. Headshot everytime, cause i'm at like, 56k. tenguzero 09-05-2005, 07:03 PM Well, i got extra chunky peanut butter on the internet vent on my minotaur. It makes me pwn at CS. Headshot everytime, cause i'm at like, 56k. ZOMG!! Your 'puter roxors teh interweb 4 sure! :icon16: I don't really have any shiny case mods or clear windows or LED fans or water cooling systems. What I DO have is a dual-monitor setup backed by a PCI-Express based mobo with an Athlon64 packed into an 8-bay server case with active fan monitoring/failure alarm, two SATA HD's. locking front door, rail slides, and the tendency to eat small children who get too close to it. I have an EluminX keyboard that's almost identical to that. Membrane keyboard like a laptop that's backlit. Awesome keyboard and I've been very pleased with it. Had it almost three years now. :) Neutrino 09-05-2005, 07:57 PM Y'know, I might qualify myself. I have an EluminX keyboard that's almost identical to that. Looks like im picking up a saitek eclipse. How much did it set you back? Plastic_Fork 09-05-2005, 08:51 PM Nice. I didn't know they were making backlit standard sized keyboards now. I couldn't find any at the time I bought this one though I must say I've been pretty happy with it and it's pretty quiet when I type on it. I'm curious too - how much did it cost? Where did you buy it? Neutrino 09-05-2005, 08:54 PM Ah thankyou, I've been looking for a illuminated keyboard and only found small keyboard size ones. Looks like im picking up a saitek eclipse. How much did it set you back? found a deal for $43 shipped from dell. It normally runs around 50ish. Just look it up on pricegrabber. Also check out this review: http://www.tomshardware.com/consumer/20050409/keyboard-02.html Plastic_Fork 09-05-2005, 09:03 PM Outstanding. I may have to grab one of those eventually. :) As much as I love the keyboard I have, I do enjoy a full keyboard at times. Thanks for the info. :D travis712 09-07-2005, 08:13 PM Yeah, once I get some extra money I'll be sure to purchase one. There awesome. And even though I can usually type w/out light or looking at the keyboard, it will help for when Im being lazy and stuff. One more question. How bright is it. I have been having problems where bright lights give me headaches, probably need glasses. Thanks. Neutrino 09-08-2005, 07:22 PM Yeah, once I get some extra money I'll be sure to purchase one. Thanks. it has a button that controlls 3 brightness settings bright/medium/off so if the bright setting is too much the medium is far more mellow. travis712 09-08-2005, 07:25 PM Nice thanks for the input. I'll buy it after I buy new headphones.
