My 94 Z34 stoped runing on me. When you start it up it will idle fine. When you step on the gas it will stall out. If you just press slowly on the gas it will pick up RPMs. I was told it could be the mass flow sencor so I changed it. Then it was the TPS changed it. Changed the Idle air flow control unit. Then after having it towed to a shop they said it was the CPS, so it was changed. The fuel filter was changed and the same thing happens. Anyone have the same problem that can tell me where to look for this problem. OH, also there is no codes to be read or SES light. :banghead:

My 93 Z34 does the same thing right now. I was told that it could be a number of things. Anything from the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, throttle position sensor, or even the timing belt. Haven't had the $ to work on mine yet. Let me know what was your deal.

most of the componets mentioned usually give a code when the go bad
the fuel pump will not give a code if it is bad
if your ses light is not on its not the computer or it sensors
check fuel pressure
vacuum leaks
fuel injectors
could be a bad wire,
ground

Stoped by the the shop today. After checking the fuel pressure (like I said to do when the car was droped off.) They told me today that it is the fuel pump. :swear: As soon as they change that I'll come back and let you know for sure marleyer,. Thanks for repling meuhus.

It cost $155 and some change for the pump and they charged for an hour and a half to change it. You may be able to find the pump for a little cheeper or a little more. The time it takes may very per shop. My shop charged $35 an hour. Best of luck.

Damn, that's a good shop. That would be a $400-$500 job anywhere I have worked.

Figure 1 hour for diagnosis, 1.5 for the actual repair time X $75 per hr = $225, plus the pump and strainer, which you got for very little markup, it seems, we would have probably been closer to $200 for it.

I'd keep them on speed-dial :)
