1995 Voyager blows 15a "Engine System" fuse.CatLoversPizza 08-19-2005, 06:48 PM I have a 95 Voyager SE that blows the 15a Engine System fuse. A mechanic in the town where I was the first time it died (90 miles from home!) told me to disconnect the fuel pump and see if the fuse would blow, which it didn't, ruling out the fuel pump as the source of problem. The mechanic I bought the car from replaced the computer, and it ran for two days before blowing the fuse again. At this point, it will run for about 1/2 hour before blowing the fuse, then if you let it sit for an 1/2 or more, it will run again (after replacing the fuse, of course). Nothing else seems out of the ordinary. Mechanic I purchased this van from is beside himself with this problem and is ready to give me my money back and junk the vehicle, which is in otherwise very good condition. One other point to mention: The first time the fuse blew, it was an extremely hot day and I was doing about 60 MPH while rounding a curve on a two lane road. I distinctly remember hitting a fairly good-sized bump in the road just before it went dead. Not sure if there's any correlation or not. CatLoversPizza 08-19-2005, 06:50 PM I searched the forum before posting this thread. It seems many others have had this same problem, but no one has ever posted a definitive solution. Anyone ever encounter this problem and have their van live to tell about it? Anyone? CatLoversPizza 08-22-2005, 11:06 AM My mechanic called me and he tells me that he cleaned all the cables, replaced the battery, and replaced the alternator, which seemed to be getting excessively hot. It seems to be running now, but we'll drive it in town for a while and see how it goes! I'll post the outcome when I get there... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
