I lost my diagram to replacing the serpentine belt and I cannot seem to be able to get the belt on correctly. I have too much slack left over. Does anyone have the diagram for 1999 Malibue 6 cyl. If so could you email it to me at mcavinee@neo.rr.com Thank you Mark

What you are probably doing wrong is placing the belt over the tensioner instead of under it. The you have to slip the square end of the socket (without the socket on it) into the tensioner and then turn it down. I usually use the "hole" end of a crescent wrench to turn the socket towards the power steering pulley. Then you slip the belt over the alternator.
