2002 idle speed too slow

2AZFE 4 clinder engine with 82,000 miles. Runs great except idle speed is too slow. Wasn't always this way. Has brand new iridium plugs and air filter, these made no difference.
Being throttle by wire, is there any way to adjust the idle up?
Thanks for any help!

Tighten the throttle cable. If should idle a little higher, just mess around until you get it the way you want it to be. But my suggestion would be to clean the throttle body first to see if that helps before adjusting the cable.

Good Luck

You missed the part about no throttle cable, it is throttle by wire. All electronic.
Your idea of cleaning the throttle body is reasonable. Spray some Gumout?
Any other ideas?

My mistake on the throttle cable....um if the throttle body cleaning doesn't do it, I would try to use Seafoam: Auto Marine. It should clear out all those carbon deposits that's clogging up the fuel and air mixture. If anything I believe the chamber is dirty that's why the idle is so low. It shouldn't be any of mechanical problem. Give it a shot.

Note: Seafoam is avaliable at Autozone and Napa.

Good Luck

I've heard a lot about Seafoam lately. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for your suggestion, I hadn't really considered that initially.
I heard 1/3 can in oil, 1/3 can sucked up in vacuum line, 1/3 can in gasoline.
Is that what you'd recomment?

Well that's a small treatment all around, you probably won't notice anything. My suggestion is this:

1/2 can in oil, 1 can sucked up in vacuum line, 1 can in gasoline (when gas is low)

This should completely eliminate more than half of the deposits in there all over. Do it twice like it and your car should be restored like it was new. Careful about pouring it into the oil, since its a cleaning solvent, it can thin out your oil. So I recommend doing that when your almost about to change your oil. Good luck, the other parts like the gas tank and vaccum line you can do countless of times.

Good Luck
