Will Turbo Axles Fit On Late 86 944???

yeah i tore up my NA ones.. so will turbo axles fit n take the abuse of my driving haha.

Yeah, they will if you unbolt the entire assembly; the axle plus the CV-joints on both ends.
The turbo had two different types of axles. The '86-87 models had the same as early 944NA. Then mid-way through '87, they changed to beefier CV joints.
You can use either one as long as you take the entire assembly. Be sure to clean out the bolts really well before inserting the cheesehead tool. Then pound them in with a hammer to make sure they're fullly seated before loosening. On re-assembly, make sure the mating surfaces of axle and the flanges DO NOT have any grease on them. It's the friction between these surfaces that transmits the power across. Any grease will let it slip and shear off the bolts. Use some blue Loctite on the bolt-threads when re-installing. Good idea to drill for safety-wire and wire them all together as well.
