I have a 1999 CV that has been parked for over a year. The battery was 100% dead, and has been replaced. The car is not getting any gas. Do I need to prim the fuel system? I have check the reset switch in the trunk and its OK. I can get the car to start with carburetor cleaner, for a short period.

Can you hear the pump running for a copuple of seconds when key is in the "on" position? If not check for current at the fuel cut off switch. If it has current on both sides for the couple of seconds , more than likely pump is no good. If there is no current at the fuel cut off, look at the fuses and fuel pump relay. The PCM power relay and fuel pump relay should click when key turned on.
