I was wondering, what is the first performance modification you guys would recommend for a V6? Something to start me off...

you could start off simple with like a intake and exhaust. but if your looking for an imediate difference then go get some gears, 3.73s.

You could look into getting a performance chip too. Might give you a little more umph.

Look for a V8 :p Sorry I could not resist.

N2O, gears, or boost.

for now just to start u off i would get a cold air intake, underdrive pullies, and exhaust.if u want more get a excalibrator, and 3.73 gears for a 5 speed and 4.10's for a auto.

and if u know wat ur doin u can install u cam. that alone will get u amost 20 at the crank.

The end gears. Sorry if this is a stupid question but can someone explain to me where they go and what they do? I'm new to all this. thanks

Its the thing in the middle of your rear drive line. Look under the rear of your car, see that middle section, that is where the gears go/are.

different sized gears change the mechanical advantage of your car. bigger gears will give you more torque and power, but the gear will run out faster. meaning that right now you can hit 60 in second gear, with bigger gears you will have to shift into 3rd to hit 60 but you will have more power, or more mechanical advantage.

Oh ok, thank you for the info. I appreciate it. How much does that usually run?

gears are about $150 and its about $200 to get them installed and when u get them installed go to a reputable shop.

I think a nice exhaust, intake maybe a chip and the gears and it'll be pretty fast. If could do all the little things too you'd beat a lot of people.
