TexasF355F1 08-17-2005, 12:03 AM You really only lower 4x4 2/4 without causing any complications. There's a guy on gmfullsize.com with a air bagged 4x4. I'm not really knowledgeable on 4x4's but i would think you could just remove the front shaft and dissable its capability altogether, but i really don't know. MoparSRT 08-17-2005, 06:05 PM Thanks for teh repley taht is al;l i was real ywantin ot lower it. i hope it doesn taffect it, i have always wanted it lowered i hate ridin so high. tahnk again jveik 08-17-2005, 07:06 PM yeah i bet the frame has all the proper holes and whatnot to remove the axle and leaf springs and install an independent suspension from a junker 2x4 which is a lot easier to say than to do however lol. Wheeler88 08-18-2005, 05:11 AM I think you would be better off money wise selling the 4x4 and getting a 2x4 to lower. Guess it depends on what you can get for parting out the front end drivetrain. jveik 08-18-2005, 08:53 AM yeah if you wanted to you can find many trucks in colorado or texas for cheap that look like they just came out the assembly plant. i bet theres tons of cheap 2x4's around there. a lot of dudes here in omaha, nebraska actually take them that they got in texas for a couple grand and add 3 or 4 grand to the price and sell em here cause we use salt and basically EVERY old truck older than 15 or 20 years is rusted out vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
