92 Sierra Tbi Wont Start No Sp No GasJAY2CHECK 08-15-2005, 08:30 PM I Have A 92 Gmc Sierra 1500 350 Tbi... I Was Driving Down The Express Way And It Just Quit Running. It Has Not Ran Since .. No Spark And No Fuel..i Replaced The Fuel Pump ( Even Know I Could Here It Come On). I Replaced The Spark Plug Wires , Dist Cap, Ignition Coil, And Tested The Control Modual At Autozone ( It Tested Good Hot And Cold 7 Times In A Row) Still The Same Problem So I Replaced The Computer Thinking That Was The Last Thing Left That Would Control Both The Ignition And The Fuel.. No Help At All....can Any One Give Me The Answer That I Am Looking For ... I Don't Know What To Look At Next And My Wife Is Getting Upset With Me Spending Money On It ...please Someone Help Me? kingdavidz 08-15-2005, 09:20 PM i know i splelt it wrong,,,,but here it goes my truck did the same yet it was my altenator....my fuel p ump was the last to shut off... use a voltage meter and see what your voltage on the alt is....hopew it helped and saved you a few bucks... I am able to crank the engine all i want .. thanks anyway any more ideals? fuzzypuppy 08-16-2005, 06:11 PM it does not sound like your fuel pump or that part of your truck has anything to do with the problem, but to be sure you can loosen one of the lines to the back of the TBI and turn the ignition to the on position, if there's fuel squirting thats not the problem, next would be checking if there's power to your ignition componants,, even if bought brand new componants can be bad, could be your ignition switch, not where the key goes in but the switch in the colum,. I would meter the ignition componants next and start tracing from there, no need to throw parts at an unknown problem, every suspect part can be checked first, fuses are a good place to start, good luck on your hunt Kevcules 08-19-2005, 11:06 AM Hmmm Did you check to see if your distributor shaft is turning? You may have a broken timing chain or lost your "mesh" from cam shaft to distributor shaft. The engine just quitting sounds electrical but you are covering the major components, maybe serious engine failure.Sounds like you need a trained eye checking this out.This way you won't spend unnecessarily and your wife won't get more upset.
