The dashboard lights and the fog/hazard/reare defog lights are switching off randomly which is kind of scaring at night !
Any idea what to look for. When we wait 5 to 15 minutes they would turn back on by themselves ??!!! TIA

Have you done anything to your car recently, like modifications, adding extra lights, etc that would involved messing around the wires?

Hello- i've been having a similar problem- just started the other day- with my 95 accent where all the power to the radio, lights, etc shuts off. My battery adapter in my cigarette lighter still works, so i think it might be a fuse, but when this happens, my car also starts to over heat. Have you figured out what's causing your issue yet?

Yes, we solved the problem by having one of the diodes replaced. The diode is located in the relay/doides box under the hood, besides the battery. Since then no more problem ! I hope it helps you too.

I basically have the same problem. I've lost the dashboard light, light to the heating controls and gear shift. I pulled out the diodes, but I can't tell if there's a problem with them or not. Could you tell that you had a dead diode by looking at it?? Thanks!
