Saab wheels on a G20?northwestrally 05-03-2002, 12:33 AM Someplace on this forum I saw a photo of a '94 or '95 white G20t with a set of wheels from a mid-to-late 80's Saab. The photo was not about the wheels, it was about reducing the "pillow" armrest size. However, the wheels are what caught my eye. I know some other cars share our cars' odd bolt pattern (some Accords, Preludes, Mitsubishis) but I'm also aware that the hub shape may not match up (any thoughts?). I'd love to buy some orphaned 15" alloy wheels for my car. Saab wheels would be dandy, but does anyone know which model & year are a match (900 or 9000?). Any further info about other wheels' compatibility (perhaps a website) would be appreciated. Regards, Don Swier NismoPC 05-06-2002, 09:27 AM http://www.800wheels.com/limages/SA12.jpg These are the ones the guy had on his G20. they are 15x5.5 4-bolt 114mm. Go here: www.800wheels.com And look under SAAB 900 between 1978 and 1987. They all had the 4 bolt 114mm. howard_w13 05-06-2002, 12:11 PM Wish I'd have found that site before I bought my wheels.:( I'll probably get these SAAB wheels some time next year.:) Mike.Com 05-06-2002, 03:16 PM Originally posted by northwestrally I know some other cars share our cars' odd bolt pattern (some Accords, Preludes, Mitsubishis) but I'm also aware that the hub shape may not match up (any thoughts?). Pics are in my sig. :p Only the mid-late 80's (85-88) Saab 900 wheels like NismoPC posted will work on the G20. But there are some 900's during that time that used a similar looking wheel with 108mm spacing; they have a small fifth hole so you won't be mistaken. After the late 80's, all of the Saab wheels changed to 108mm spacing. The three spoke ones above wouldn't work. Center hub sizes do vary with wheels. I just tried the Saab wheels on and they fit so I knew they worked. I was in a large self serve junkyard so I just tried different wheels on an old Maxima to see which fit. The 84-87 Maxima's have a simial hub and bolt pattern. www.capitalwheels.com has a search engine with wheel measurments. They don't have center hubs listed though. If you see something you like with a similar bolt pattern, I guess you just have to try one out and see...;) howard_w13 05-06-2002, 04:17 PM Originally posted by Mike.Com Haha, right here. I thought that the G20 bolt pattern was 15x5.5, 4 lug, 114mm. NismoPC 05-06-2002, 10:24 PM Originally posted by howard_w13 Are you sure? He was stating to not buy late 80's Saab wheels because they changed the bolt pattern to a 4x108 instead of a 4x114. ;) Mike.Com 05-07-2002, 03:51 AM Originally posted by NismoPC It is! I looked and some of the three spoke rims did come in 114mm like ours. As long as the Saab is pre '87, the wheels should fit. That'll be original cause I haven't seen those around much on Saab's. :D vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
