What should the idle speed be at? Right now on my dash tachometer it reads somewhere below 1000 rpms. Its at a really rough idle right now, and I think it should be higher.

The vehicle emissions control sticker under the hood will tell you the correct idle speed and the conditions for it. My 1995 1.3 L with automatic transaxle uses 850 rpm.
