I just finished this late last night. I welcome any and all comments. BTW, i have read the posts slamming Krylon Crystal Clear. As you can see, I have no trouble with it. I use it exclusively. This model has about ten coats over Tamiya Candy Lime Green, polished, buffed with Scratch-X and cleaned up with The Wax Shop Super Glaze.

eph2, the interior is from the Viper and blubaja, yes it is a resin kit. It's from RMR and it's a pretty decent kit. I sectioned the body 1/8 inch and added rhe coaming around the cockpit.

I've followed the progress thread mate and...well...it tuned out nothin' less than stunning!!
Solving the Krylon issue is all about thin coats...you can set an example ;)

Was the body a good casting, or did it require a lot of clean-up?

Since I didn't do the master for this body my guess is that the rear is the stock '55 bumper turned upside down and moulded in, similar to what I did on the front. The slots in the rear are original to the casting.
The wheels are Pegasus 23" Chrome T's with the fronts narrowed by one section of tread to get them to tuck up into the fenders.
The kit was actually pretty decent. It required some clean-up, as do most resin kits, but it was not unworkable as you notice. In fact, I have two more of RMR's kits on the shelf and I plan on getting at least two more when I visit the show in Gilbertsville, PA in September.

Almost forgot. Since 99% of the cars I build are slammers the engine answer is none.
