Our JGC has started to blow warm when sitting at a traffic light. We added some 134A, but it continues to do the same thing. It even blows foggy sometimes. I spoke with a friend who says the fan clutch may be bad, so I buy a new Hayden fan clutch. When I went to put it on I then discovered that the 99 has TWO fans, one belt driven and one electric and they're both between the engine and the radiator. I remember the friend saying that when the engine is up to temp. that I should be able to hear the fan clutch come in with a big whoosh sound. I've never heard that familiar whoosh with this vehicle at all, electric nor clutch. Should I go ahead and put the new clutch on and also a new electric fan relay, or take it to the A/C shop? I love this vehicle.

Is the air COLD when driving normally? If so, you probably have no worries.

Fog (or mist) seem to happen mostly in VERY humid areas (like Florida).
BUT ... you could have the A/C Drain plugged or partly blocked. Do you "hear" any water moving around under the dash? That would be another indicator.

As for the fans, as long as the coolant temperature gauge is "normal" (210 mark plus or minus 10 degrees), they should be working fine.
BUT ... Check that the electric fan is coming on when the A/C is turned on.

Take Care,
