GTX with dubsb1gr3d 08-13-2005, 01:03 AM http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30100322-med.jpg 67 GTX with 17 or 18's off of a bigger model civic. this is a revell 2 n 1 so i will use the drag stuff more than anything and since i broke the a pillar on the other side it will now be a roadster! SteveK2003 08-13-2005, 01:22 AM I just picked this one up tonight ($7 at Michaels, and hot girls there too!). Those are BIG wheels! If they are 17-18" in 1/18th scale, that would make then about 24" to the GTX. How low can you get the front? Zlaja_ 08-13-2005, 06:28 AM you'll have to raise that car to make it look descent! eph2 08-13-2005, 01:19 PM WWOOOOOWWWWW!!! Is gonna be a COOLLL Project! b1gr3d 08-13-2005, 04:57 PM well the way it is right now the front wheel has the inner fender resting on the tire. so it looks really high. i am gonna cut out the inner fender and lower the front as much as i can and probably keep the rear the way it is....G-machine! honda_racing101 08-13-2005, 05:05 PM Those rims are too big. b1gr3d 08-13-2005, 06:13 PM http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30100511-med.jpghere's the GTX with the inner fender cut out http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30100531-med.jpghere it is with the box wheels and rear slicks http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/166371S30101921-med.jpgwheel comparison..size does matter give me feedback! lil wheels or massive ones honda_racing101 08-13-2005, 11:44 PM Don't use thos 1:18 scale civic rims...WAY TOO BIG. Just use the smaller fatties. 67Shelbymustang 08-14-2005, 12:17 AM use the civic rims they look better to me but the choice is yours but if you use them i would chrome them. GTmike400 08-14-2005, 07:59 AM I am going to have to agree, the rims are way too big. Scaled those are 26" rims. It could be a cool project, but rims that big belong on some bling mobile. Just my two cents. I'd like to see what comes of the project. 67Shelbymustang 08-14-2005, 05:02 PM i had no idea they were 26 in man. if you can get some thing in a twenty that would at least be realistic. now i dont think you should use them. but like i said the choice is yours. or just use them big tire little rims. b1gr3d 08-14-2005, 05:27 PM i think i will tryt a different large set of wheels tonight Jaymes 08-14-2005, 05:32 PM the boxstock rims look like they fit the car better...that is if you're going for that classy musclecar look Dean23 08-14-2005, 05:37 PM Go with the box stock wheels, they look way way better. the others are way too big. make it look like something off of pimp my ride b1gr3d 08-25-2005, 10:13 PM UPDATE. pictures wont show up in gallery! -cut top off, and drivers door out....guess what im gonna make it into a roadster! -wheels and tires are going to be box wheels with a lip and low profile tires from my 50 chevy kit -engine is painted and i have deceided to try and make a ywin turbo 426 hemi, yes i said it -i think i will attempt a fourlink setup with coils or bags, undecided and thats all for now vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
