Hi-newbie here-have a 2001 Impala, 3.4 bought used in 11/04, so far seems ok, but brakes seem to be making noise/almost grinding-have been hearing about cruddy rotors-gonna pull the wheels tomorrow and check pads/rotors, but another problem-say from a start-red light-stop sign-whatever-give gas, trans shift from 1-2, let off gas pedal a little and there's click/knock in front end seems like-when releasing pedal-torque transfer from acceleration to no acceleration-something is moving-any ideas-thanks-Joe

maybe intermediate steering shaft. Search the forum for that or "ISS".

Mine did the same thing, they ended up replaceing both lower control arms. Does it wonder on the road also??
