today i just heard my camry squeal for a second when i did a u-turn to the left. it only squealed when i hit the limit on the steering wheel, and a second later it was gone. is this normal? i just purchased the camry so i don't know if this is normal for this car. also i have a 60 day bumper-to-bumper warranty so any suggestions would be helpful (as in if i should have the dealer look at it, and what should i look at)

thanks!

Probably means your power steering belt is a little loose or too smooth. See if it has good tension. In any event, it is a bad idea to turn the wheel to the stops. If you feel the stop, back off slightly.

yeah, i backed off as soon as i felt it -- just bought the car so i don't have the feel of it yet.

i just had my accy belts changed; would that have anything to do with it?

Might be your PS belt is a little loose. If it doesn't squeal when you make a fast turn of the steering wheel, I wouldn't worry about it.

Most non Toyota mechanics don't adjust the P/S pump far enough to keep the timing belt tight enough.
