i have a 95 blazer 4.3 i have had an ideling and performance problem for about three months now. The first time around i changed the plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, fuel filter, new computer, cpi but not a nut kit. ran fine for a couple of weeks put it in the shop to get an exhaust leak fixed got a new exhaust manifold put on and it came out running worse than when it went in. The car would start but would idle rough and backfire if you gave it gas. Put it back in the shop had the intake decarboned and the egr valve cleaned and new plugs put in. Running down the highway and the muffler blows out and car goes back to running like crap. Back to the shop for a new cpi unit and nut kit this time. Idled good for the first 10 minutes then it fell off and acted like it wanted to idle rough again but didn't. Coming home from work today and the car loose power and backfires muffler blows again? What in the world could be wrong this time. If i let it sit for a while then start it, it will run fine until it gets warm again.

did you or your mech check the timing? got your ign wires / firing order right?

Sounds like the firing order is out of place.
