Car starts to jolt after 40 mph...??francucio 08-07-2005, 11:41 PM My car accelerates normal only up to 40 mph. If i continue to increase my speed over 40 mph the car begins to jolt vigorously !! If there are any automotive guru's out there - i need u now. This is a tuff one... ? I've changed air filter, spark plugs , and pcv valve - no help. I'm thinking fuel starvation (fuel pump) - do u agree ? Can someone assist in troubleshooting. THX!!! Preliminary...It could be a bad axle or CV joint. Fuel starvation would occur more so with RPM or engine load vs vehicle speed. francucio 08-08-2005, 11:12 PM I FIXED IT!!!! and it was the cheapest fix ever! a $5 fuel filter. yes! I cracked it open...lots of sediment. thx ...take care. Frank vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
