I have about 138,000 miles on my automatic 1996 honda accord Ex. The trasmission shifts hard most of the time, but will begin to shift smoothly when its been driven for a while. I know the fluid hasn't been changed for a long time. I heard that you should not change the fluid if it has not been changed for a long time. I wanted to know if i should have the transmission completely flushed an if i do will this possibly cause damage to the transmisson.

Well, if you are having problems with it already, I wouldn't recommend flushing it... You really should check the fluid, and if it looks burnt(which it probably is) you should definately not flush it... However, it wouldn't hurt to drain it, put in a little bit of seafoam, and then refill to your recommended level. probably would help a lot.
