I have a Chevy 2003 Silverado 1500HD with the Bose speaker system. I am wanting to add a PXGM24 aux. cable assembly to keep the factory radio but add an pioneer mp3 player (totally a cost reason at this point in time, I already own the mp3 player). I am wanting to mount it in the lower center console storage pocket. Unf. the pocket is tapered and wont just slide in. Are there any know mods for adding a player in that storage pocket or is there a GM option that has a pocket already setup for something like a cd player stock off the lot. Would appreciate any help or comments.

any pics of the area and item. i am sure it can be done depending on how handy u are and what you access to. i install stereos and electronics for a living and i am sure it can be done with some modifications. if you go to some install shops they might have abs plastic sheets and you can you use a heat gun to make many brakets or trim or covers whatever it may be. i hope this helps.

You have to cut the whole to make it bigger. Why not just take out the stock radio and replace it with the pioneer? It's not like you cant reinstall the factory unit when you decide to sell the truck.
