Glued, bolted...how does this window attach on a 2001 Windstar??

I have it on order, so I don't have the replacement window yet, but I was wondering if this a job that can be done by myself of if it should be done by a pro...

Thanks.

I have not done the sliding door window, but did have to replace the opposite window, behind the driver's seat.

If you go to the auto parts store, they have a special putty that you will need to seal the window with... it is already in rope form, IIRC. The window I replaced actually had studs built into the glass and I had to remove the interior plastic to access the studs from the inside and remove the screws.

Be careful when putting the new glass in, youdon't want to over-tighten a nute and break the glass.

Yah, I have dual sliding doors on this puppy...

Thanks...I'm thinking and hoping your right that it just bolts on. Throw some putty on there, bolt 'er in and there we go. Is there a certain way to prep it one you "break out all the old glass? If the factory used a putty like seal, then there may be some left on there maybe??

Anyone know the torq specs on it? That way, i can be sure to not overtighten as mentioned...thanks!!
