Hey, How's every one? Cool I hope. Look, I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 1993 and my radio is giving me the fits. It comes on, meaning I get read out as far as stations or, AM and FM. Yet, I can't hear any sound. I know this may sound simple; But then, that's why pencils have eraser's on them. I've checked the terminals for the speaker leds; they seem to be connected and OK. Yet I still don't have any sound. Now let me also say that the motorized antenna fails to rise when I turn the radio. Does that need to be working in order to have sound? As well when I pulled the 10 amp fuse I think it was to see if that was causing the problem; my clock of course went out. Now I can't even reset that to the correct time. If there is anybody out there who could give me some help or, point me in the right direction; I would greatly apreciate it. Thanks, Big Nathan.

If I remember right, most vehicles with power antenna need the antenna up to enable reception. You can check with a substitute antenna and see if the reception improves. (have to take dash apart and radio out).

If that doesn't work, unless you are absolutely attached to the original equipment, get a aftermarket deck, install kit and wiring harness. Better sound they say tho I'm ok with the infinity system mine came with.

There are places that fix the factory decks, some on an exchange basis...Check with a dealer on who they use....Some wrecking yards might have an identical unit too.

JD, I'd just like to say Thanks, for taking the time out to send me that feed back. I know my question may have come off like a no brainer; but I always believed it better to ask a dumb question rather, than come off looking like a dumb asstro-physicist. Thanks Again. Big Nathan.
