What should I do? honda_racing101 08-05-2005, 10:34 AM nosliw2004 08-06-2005, 03:02 AM pics? crimsonkarter21 08-06-2005, 03:19 PM http://www.diecastmuscle.com/store/Makes/Datsun/Y92528GR The model is amazing, I love mine. I don't think you'll be able to lower it, unless you want to completely cut up, and re glue all of the chassis. I'd probably go for a classic SCCA Racer look on it, with a 70's racing paint job on it... honda_racing101 08-06-2005, 06:20 PM Yeah thats the one, only white. And I already lowered it:D Looks sick I think. I made some prototype strut tower braces, but I don't really like them. So far the engine is stock. What should I do to my inline six?! honda_racing101 08-07-2005, 09:21 PM Come on people, I need some opinions. crimsonkarter21 08-07-2005, 09:54 PM I think the six should just stay stock, unless you want to add a turbo or something... I demand pics!!! :P honda_racing101 08-08-2005, 12:56 AM Well I'd love to turbo it, but I don't have any toy turbos, not to mention the exhaust and intake manifolds are on the same side so it could get tricky. I'd post pics if I had a picture hosting thingy. 97_sho 08-08-2005, 02:05 AM Well I'd love to turbo it, but I don't have any toy turbos, not to mention the exhaust and intake manifolds are on the same side so it could get tricky. I'd post pics if I had a picture hosting thingy. muscle machines for the turbos and as for the manifolds you could get the manifold to go under the engin and on the other side of the engin honda_racing101 08-08-2005, 10:46 AM Hmm I don't know if i want to buy a car just for the turbos. And yeah, that would be a good idea. But I think I wanna go to EFI with some ITB. If I can make the stacks, and make the manifold. n2oinblood 08-08-2005, 11:23 AM you could make a turbo using are very loved tutorials section and as for image hosting goes use photobucket.com n2oinblood 08-08-2005, 11:27 AM actually i take that back, i don't think this was ever added to the tutorial section but heres a how to on scratch turbos: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=422857&highlight=turbo+tut honda_racing101 08-08-2005, 03:20 PM As requested, here are some pics. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/honda_racing101/100_0670.jpg http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/honda_racing101/100_0671.jpg Heres the engine, stock for now. That will change :evillol: :grinyes: But yeah, I still need some input on what I should do to it. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/honda_racing101/100_0669.jpg And heres a prototype strut tower brace I am messing with. I'm not sure if this will be the final peice or not. What do you guys think? http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b386/honda_racing101/100_0672.jpg ElRxBandito 08-08-2005, 11:23 PM Nice project, I love it, I say go muscle with it, Paint it orange, get some meaty tires in the rear, and drop a V8 in with the exhaust dumping just behind the doors, would look hot IMO, or you could go Rice style, and drop a RB26 and set it up with some 18's, and a fancy paint scheme w/ carbon fibre hood, either way I'd say this car would look beautiful. crimsonkarter21 08-09-2005, 01:38 AM Personally, when I'm thinking of things to do with a model, I Google Image search the car... it works pretty well... http://www.tuningpt.com/carrosemana/240z/Mvc-003f.jpg http://lonestar-mvpa.org/images/2004/04showc.JPG http://www.ianhardy.net/albums/amoc7croft03/CRW_2106.jpg http://www.ontariozcar.com/Rides/cars/jpmatte/jpm3.jpg http://www.ontariozcar.com/Rides/cars/staras/st2.jpg http://www.ontariozcar.com/Rides/cars/nwhite/nw3.jpg http://www.diecasts.org/images/k03165a.jpg http://www.staginglight.com/images/cars/z1.jpg http://www.davescholz.com/public/webgallery/images/ZengineThree.jpg http://zhome.com/History/Images/EAS11.jpg http://alteredz.com/image/firstdrive/firstdrive_RFs.jpg http://ns.31rsm.ne.jp/~garekad/gallreyslot/slotjpg/z05.jpg honda_racing101 08-09-2005, 09:19 AM I wasn't thinking of painting the car but then again maybe I will. My original goals for this car was to make it a nimble auto-xer. So mods like a V-8 weren't really in the cards. But now that I think about it, I'm gonna hafta mess around with a few ideas and hopefully I find something I like. crimsonkarter21 08-09-2005, 02:45 PM Actually, an aluminum small block V8 wouldn't weigh too much more than the 6'er, considering it is made from iron and steel honda_racing101 08-09-2005, 06:54 PM Alright you smart-ass. :grinno: Well, I don't have any small block V-8s, but I do have 79 Trans Am that could easily donate its engine for some test fitting etc etc. I'm also in the middle of making an EFI intake manifold so I can decide if I like it. I already made a prototype, and i'm working on the real one now. So that might stay if I like it enough. Also, Anyone know if I can get different rims that screw onto the axles like the ones I have? crimsonkarter21 08-09-2005, 07:35 PM You'd probably have to pick up another SunStar model just to steal the wheels... I don't know, I'll check out my model... In fact, I don't even know how to take the wheels off.... ElRxBandito 08-09-2005, 07:42 PM That's where my specialty kicks in, I'm not sure about your level of experience in this, but when I run into something like that, I just fabricate an entirely new suspension and spindle setup. honda_racing101 08-10-2005, 01:32 PM Hmm..I really don't think I have the skill for that. 97_sho 08-10-2005, 01:51 PM Hmm..I really don't think I have the skill for that. with a couple of different axles and alot of glue you might be able to  honda_racing101 08-13-2005, 04:44 PM Ha, I don't think so.
