hey I have a 91 caprice that has been sitting for almost a year and it used to run perfectly but now it wont start it sounds like theres no gas in it but it shows over a quarter of a tank the the fuel gauge has never been wrong .....I'm stumped......how do I find out whats wrong with it and even more yet how do I fix it......?

I would drain the tank and put some fresh gas in it first.. it could be as simple as bad gas or a faulty gauge.. if that doesnt work, make sure your getting gas to the engine, ie...fuel pump, clogged line

it should be on or near the fuel rail

My car isn’t fuel injected so im not too sure. On my ranger it runs parallel to the intake manifold, on the left side of the intake manifold as your looking at the engine

can you see that it isnt getting fuel (nothing coming out of the injectors) If you do see fuel, then odds are its a problem with the ignition system. If its been sitting, maybe a rat or some other animal chewed throughone of the wires. This is just a possibility, don't ignore fuel as a problem (it's probably a fuel issue anyway). It could also be your fuel pump. The 85 wagon I bought for parts had been sitting for 2 years when I bought it, and the gas seemed to be fine (ran good).
