g35 coupe shocks

Im planning to lower my g about 1' inch with aibach springs and i was wonder, do i have to change my shocks. Would it be okay to just change the springs and leave the shock stock. Should i just get a new sets of sport shocks? What type of shocks would u guys recommend. i looked in to the coilover but they are pretty expensive. thanks
