This and the 936 are just stunning - so hard to believe they are 1/43rd!

Superb once again.

You did a great job. Old Starter decals take a lot of patience (beer) to work with. How did you get the headlights to look so nice? Obviously not the Starter blobs of clear resin. Robestelli once made parts to improve the lights. I have some of these Starter 956/962 kits to build as well, but have been avoiding them partly because of not coming up with a decent solution for the headlights.

Well, to be honest these really ARE the Starter blobs of clear resin. I painted the headlights and blinker from the inside, then I painted the complete insides matt black, and when dry I sanded and polished the outsides until they looked the way they look now. But I must admit that just mounting those blobs the way they looked like they came in the box would be a disaster!

The time you took polishing the outside really helped a lot. Quality for these blobs really seems to vary in the boxes I have.

Thanks.

I've had to deal with the clear blobs also, and did just what you did. I also had to fill in spots using clear epoxy, then file, sand, and polish to get something suitable.

BTW, you have a great collection of Lemans cars going. This one looks great. Keep up the good work!

Guy, always a pleasure to view your work. Your 1/43's are better than most 1/24's!!

Just amazing considering the scale!!
These Le Mans kits are looking so nice!

Do you know anywhere that sells that 'Zoink' you keep refering to?
