2001 Windstar w/ 43,000+ miles. Reverse lights are on continually with no immediate indication that something is wrong. I suspect that there may be a short in the system?

Remove the rear tail liotes and check the grounds. Also check if a wire is pinched back there. How did this come to happen?, all of a sudden, did you have someone work on it?
