Protar Lancia Delta HF 16v

One of 3 models I'm building at the moment, next to a hasegawa Datsun 1600SSS and a tamiya Impreza WRC 2001. The Datsun's body is f***ed up, so I take a break from that one before I totally blow it. I'm now building the Subaru and Lancia at the same time.

This is the kit:

I first thought of entering this thing in the 80s contest, but there's a slight detail wich won't make it perfect. There's no prize given to the one who spots it first.

Should have spent more money on a tamiya. :banghead:
If you put the rollcage it's not too bad. In fact, you can't even see it anymore.

The only positive points about this thing:
- It's a Kankkunen car
- The door opens so the work in the interior can be clearly admired
- It cost me €5, not 20 like Huudo's

First progress pics hopefully tonight (as I have a 1/1 scale rally car to finish aswell).

Oh Protar had that white Martini-version too. I had that red one before.

Hood opens, but no engine, that sucks.

Nice project! You can enter it in the 80s comp any time. ;)

Is the missing detail, the roof vent? I think you could correct that quite easily.

It's the roof itself, a bit "out of shape"...

Do you mean the plastic is warped?

I hope it's just bent from being badly positioned in the box.

Any progress with this car?

Italeri re-released that red version, but it's damn expensive compared to Protar-model (if you can find one).

Not much, real rallying got in the way. I will finish (or at least try to) it in december.

The italieri model sucks, it's the same but it cost 3 times more then mine.

There is of course one other reason that you could not enter that in the eighties comp.

It is a 1991 car!!

You cant enter the contest since you are building model from 1991..

I would by another decal sheet off course. ;)

Tomorrow morning i'll get up earlier and restart work on the Lancia and Subaru.

Rise and shine!
Just build the 89 san remo version, i might even have the (possibly incomplete) decal sheet form my hasegawa one that i'm converting back into the 4wd for you somewhere (however the italeri kit also has this livery, and, contrary to what it's box says, it does include the martini logos. And in holland the italeri kit is about as expensive as a RoG or heller kit, though i remember the protar kit was REALLY cheap). Also good luck with fixing the warping, it looks real bad....

The ialieris don't all include it. Huudo bought the red martini car, and as left with "MART " decals.

Strange, IIRC Tamiya model magazine said it did have the complete decal, never checked the box to see though. Oh well, must be going crazy then. Still, any progress?
And why does the posting clock in the left not respond to our DST? Feel like a time traveller now..

I was about to move to my room to restart work. :)
