I have a 95 GC and recently the buttons on the steering wheel that make the horn honk stop responding. I know the horn works, it goes off when I open the door with the alarm set. I have checked the fuses on the side panel and I'm trying to avoid taking it to Jeep and spending a lot of $$. My horn is very important.. Help!!

You could check the horn relay.
Or...
Get a bumper sticker that says:
"Horn Broken, watch for finger" :)

The Air Bags have a back up capacitor and can employ if tampered with. To disable the Air Bag, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and wait 2 minutes for the capacitor to discharge before removing any part of the steering column/wheel (This is what the book says, I would wait 10 minutes just to be sure....lol).

Not the ones on my head but the ones that sound like they are under the left front fender. (93 GC). One of the horns stopped working and now the jeep sounds sick. Does this mean I can use my little finger to augment the horn? lol. PS: I'd where a motorcycle helmet with face mask before taking apart the steering wheel.

if the horn works with the alarm, then the relay is good.ther is a little ground clip that goes on one of the steering column mounting bolts and if it isnt there then the horn switch has no ground.Check that
