Blinkers dont workbillyo69 07-30-2005, 08:52 PM My directionals work on and off you have to hit hazard switch to get them working again.I no this is a common prob on 2001 like mine .How do i fix and is there a recall? thermal izod 07-31-2005, 04:02 PM it's probably the signal switch....the actual small shaft on the steering column...i had the same thing w/ my '95 lumina once...replaced that signal stick, and it was as good as new. ogre73 07-31-2005, 07:27 PM I had a similar problem with my '96 Lumina. The blinkers just stopped working. I had the integrated cruise/blinker and it was replaced under extended warranty. The dealer said good thing I had the warranty, as the switch alone was $250.00 without the labor to disassemble the steering column. Jim thermal izod 07-31-2005, 08:39 PM same deal here... micali 07-31-2005, 10:49 PM it's the hazard switch. I got my impala with 29,000 miles and that was the first thing that had to be replaced. jBlinkers would work sometimes. bermis519 08-01-2005, 07:00 PM Yup, go to the dealership and tell them you need your hazard switch replaced. I'm 100 percent sure thats what it is.... mike thermal izod 08-06-2005, 12:30 PM i did notice that when i had the dash apart, and the hazard switch was disconnected, the signals didn't work. but since ur saying it's working intermittantly, it sounds more like my old lumina's problem, which was in fact, the signal stick. i'd lean that way, b/c it's not a constant problem. nate_02 08-10-2005, 07:40 PM I have the same problem on my 2001. My problem is intermittent, but I think it's the hazard switch. When my blinkers stop working, I just turn my hazards on and off, then the blinkers work fine. thermal izod 08-10-2005, 09:13 PM could be different wiring than my '95 lumina had...check into that, i'm only a military aircraft mechanic, not automotive, and I know VERY little about electrical...u are prob right. billyo69 08-10-2005, 10:10 PM Brought it to the dealer today my vin #s dont get me in on a recall so they say but they said it is the hazard switch will they will replace tomorrow.Ill let you know vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
