Hi Board
Last Sunday, I went to Sears to have all 4 brand new tires installed on my 1999 Corolla. They talked me into a wheel Alignment. The car drives ok, But i notice that when i let go of the wheel, the car has a tendency to veare to the right. I dont notice any pull when i have my hands on the wheel. Is it possible that Sears didnt do the job right? i got a computer print out of the before and after Alignment results. Please advise. I know nothing about Wheel alignments. thanks

Make sure your on a flat surface. If you let go of the steering wheel and the car goes right or left, take it back to sears as they didn't do it right. Was the car doing this "before" you brought it there? If not, tell them that as well. A vehicle will sometimes go right or left when braking, but this is not the fault of alignment.
One more thing , why did they suggest alignment? If your previous tires were not worn more on the outside or inside of the tire ,then you probably didn't need an alignment. Lastly , getting your car aligned every couple of years is a good idea , it will get you the most mileage out of your tires.
Two things to watch for are the car going off center when you let go of the wheel and wear on the inside or outside edges of the tires.
Hope this helps.
