hello i drove 35 mile round trip. then went to get some tires another 20 mile round trip.. then at the stop sign i get ready to go, and it thuds nothing.. so i put it in park then back into drive.. nothing, it just revs. so i put it down into first and it takes off slowly.. then put it into second, then drive then it was going.. had to do that at 3 stop lights..
well then when i get back into my town it drives normally, so i take it home.. then i have to go pick up on of my buddys, and well it wouldnt back up.. OH $HIT!!!! wll i put it in neutral and it goes foward.. what the fock??? put it in Reverse and it wouldnt go.. so i tried pushing it nothing.. wouldnt move.. so then i turned the car off in reverse.. and then it would roll... i wait about 20 mins and go out and start it up it is in park.. so i rev'd it and it would only go up to 2,000 rpm with my foot to the floor.. then i put it in first(went foward), then second(went foward), then drive(went foward), then neutral(went foward), then reverse, nothing , so i rev it still nothing.. i put it in park.. then rev it and keep my foot on it then a lil thud.. then rpms went way up. so i let off... then i put it in reverse and it went.. what is up with that>?> ?? thatnks for rplys in advance

Sounds like you've got some serious problem(s). Good at working on tranny's? I'm certainly not. Unless you know someone who can help you out, or you are willing to put lots of time into learning (which is usually my approach), take it to a shop and at least get an estimate.

any ideas on where i can get a new or rebuilt auto tranny? or a 5 speed? and how hard is the conversion of auto to manual? thanks again... i drove my car without any problems on a 70 mile round trip yesterday. could it be i just need my 'gear shifter' adjusted? thanks again...
