My 98 GMC 1/5 ton pickup with 5.7L is exhibiting the systoms of a bad fuel pressure regulator. Just bought one from the parts store, but I can't find the thing on the truck.
Is it in plain view or do I have to revome something to find it?
Thanks for any help.

You have to take the upper half of the intake manifold off to get to the fuel pressure regulator.

Is the black placstic portion the "upper half of the intake manifold". If so, this is a half day jog, correct?

Yes. They did not make it easy to get at the fuel pressure regulator.
