The thread title is slightly misleading in my eyes. They weren't really doing a VMAX test like the one McLaren performed at both Nardo and Ehra Lessien. Instead, they were simply trying to set a closed course speed record in the UK, which they achieved.

It is a cool video though - I'll watch anything where Tiff is the driver. :thumbsup:

Funny that they didn't have the rubber for more top end. BTW...imagine the producers pucker factor! "sorry Ron, we um kinda smashed XP5" ...

Thanks a lot for posting this, I've been searching for a long time for this clip but every time for one reason or another I was unable to download it. The in-car shots of the road really gave me a feeling like I was in the passenger seat. :cool:

In the beginning they make it look like it had a push button starter. They never showed the car actually reversing after the reverse-lockout button was shown being depressed.
