where do we go to pull the check engine light code? and how much does it cost?

You can go to autozone and have them pull the codes for you for free. Thats usually the best way, and they'll also tell you what the code numbers mean also. But if you want a mechanic to do it, and actually diagnose your car, you'll probably have to either bring them and display them on here, or take it to a real shop.
