The Dash Is Off... But How About The Radioseifex 07-27-2005, 04:32 PM So I'm trying to switch in my new Alpine CD receiver, and I can't get the darn receiver out! I followed the instructions to remove the plastic wood and the dash, and I exposed the receiver. It was fastened in with three screws, all of which I removed... but it wouldn't come out! I tugged gently, I tugged harder, I did a little prying... none of which really did anything. I know that the receiver sits in a frame, and I can see where it's fastened into said frame, but I don't have a flashlight immediately available so I can't tell if it is fastened anywhere else, and if it is I would like... have to go in under it or something to undo whatever held it in place from the back, and that would be too much hassle I think... if there's just some little trick to getting it to slide out (I saw some guy in a video just pull his right out from a newer car) then I'd be really grateful to hear it. Thanks a lot tman 07-27-2005, 05:15 PM under the radio, there is a bolt holding it in. look between the climate module and the radiio, and you'll see the bolt way back in there 93buicklesabrelmtd 07-27-2005, 10:17 PM So I'm trying to switch in my new Alpine CD receiver, and I can't get the darn receiver out! Thanks a lot 3 visible screws, plus 2 hidden screws. Holding radio in place. The hidden screws are at the 2 bottom ends of the radio. Place the screw driver all the way back. I believe you need a pretty long screwdriver. seifex 07-27-2005, 11:16 PM i'll try it, thanks vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
