Battery Indicator Light

Hello. I was driving this evening and suddenly my battery indicator light came on. The only symptoms (besides the light :)) I noticed was that my turn signals would flash slowly and the dashboard lights were a little dim. My headlights appeared to be fully bright and didn't even dim at an idle. When I arrived home, I turned off the car and it restarted easily.

Does anyone know how to easily determine what would be causing the light to come on? I.e., is this typically a battery, alternator, voltage regulator, or something else?

Thanks in advance!

battery light means the alternator is not properly charging. go to auto zone/advance, and they'll test it for you for free to tell you exactly whats wrong

Thanks! I'll look for an Autozone in my area.

any auto parts store will be able to test it, like oriellys, pep boys,, advance, or auto zone
