I have a 1991 Ford Escort. I just bought a CD player to put in it but I am having the worst time trying to get the old radio/cassette player out. I saw the page on how to remove one from a '99 model, but how do I remove it from mine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My 93 radio had 4 holes...2 vertical holes on each end. Fashion 2 "square U"s with wire coat hanger with the prongs the same distance as the holes. Pook a U into each set of holes ~3/4"-1". They will release 4 catches and the radio will slide straight out.

Yep, thats how I did it. Alternativly you could go to the ford dealership and pay $40 for the proper tool (prebent coathangers basically lol). Just fashion the coat hangers and you will be fine.

Dont know what page you are talking about but if it was my page I show the tool that is used. (if you are crafty you can make your own based on those photos)
